February 2013 Playgroups

February has some fun in store for your Fridays!

02/01 - The Music Man, Brian Doser will join us at 10:45AM
02/08 - Valentines.  Make a gift for someone special!
02/15 - Puzzles. Put a jigsaw puzzle back together, match pictures or just play with the pieces.
02/22 - Fort Building!  We'll have lots of large boxes to transform into buildings to play in and decorate.  Older siblings home on winter break can help us with their ideas.

We can be found at the Manchester Community Center, next to the train station every Friday morning between 9:30 - 11:30 AM.  Stay as long, or as little, as you'd like.  In addition to the planned activities, we have plenty of toys for the kids to play with and share and lots of room for them to get out their energy on these yucky Winter days.  Come when you can and stay as long or as little as you'd like.  We'd love to see you!

Parking for the Community Center is by the outbound awning and marked with signs for 30 minute Commuter drop-off and pick-up.  Paper signs are available in the Center to place on your dashboard to inform the parking attendant that you are attending an event there.

Important Notice about Playgroup Parking

Those of you that drive to our Friday morning play groups at the Manchester Community Center, we have very important information about parking.

We've been informed that Harbor Point will begin towing cars that are not parked where they would like them to be, including the spaces directly in front of the Community Center and behind Allen's Pharmacy.  Please park in the spaces along the outbound train track near the covered benches.  So when you drive in, follow the One Way around Allen's and turn into a space on your right that's marked "20 min parking" for the train.  The parking attendant has assured us that we can stay in those spaces for longer than 20 minutes.

Also, please remember there are colored paper parking sheets at the entrance of the Community Center to place on your dashboard to show that you are there for an event inside.  Placing this sheet in your car will not guarantee you will not be towed if you are not in a designated space, but will inform the attendant where to find you if you need to move your car.

If you have any questions, please contact me at pegconlon@gmail.com or Kim Kaner at manchestercommunitycenter@gmail.com.
