Manchester Mothers' Club Cooks Up $3600 for the Rogers Family of Essex

The 6th annual Manchester Mother’s Club Chili Cook off fundraiser was a fun evening and a huge success. In partnership with local businesses, The Manchester Mother’s Club was able to raise $3,600.00 for the Rogers family of Essex who lost their home in a fire in June of 2008.

The Manchester Mother’s Club would like to give a special thanks to our corporate sponsor, Manchester architectural firm Olson, Lewis, Dioli & Doktor for partnering with us to raise money for this event. We also thank Seaside Cycle, Zaks, The Rugged Bear, and The Learning Express for making direct donations to the family. Thanks to Chili Choice of Gloucester for providing their delicious queso & chips to our event, and Ward’s Florist of Beverly for the festive decorations.

There were 30 businesses throughout the North Shore who contributed to this event. The following businesses showed their support for the Rogers family by donating raffle items. Thanks to: Staybride Suites of Andover, La Chanterelle Restaurant of Endicott College, The Nightingale Inn Bed & Breakfast of Beverly Farms, Blue Marlin Grille, Periwinkles, Windward Grille, Tom Shea’s, Cape Ann Pizza of Essex, Gianna’s Goodies of Essex, Blue Family Magic Photography, Tom Underwood Photography, Seaside Wellness, M. The Manchester Mother’s Club is also very grateful to Wendy Cressey & Andrew Fournier for donating a long weekend vacation to their beautiful Cape home. Shelley and Kevin Delaney were the winners of the live auction for this home, and we thank them for their support!

Thanks again to all the local businesses, Mother’s Club members, and community members who made this event possible. The support for the Rogers family was incredible!
